The Palmerston Street project entailed the renovation of the outdated interiors of an apartment in a heritage building in the heart of Northbridge. This two bedroom, two bathroom, one study/guest room, apartment required all new finishes throughout. New timber floorboards were laid throughout the hallway, kitchen, dining, and living areas, and into the study which opens up to the living room. In the kitchen and dining areas a featured black pressed tin ceiling was installed.
The entry hallway was updated with a bold graphic carpet that wraps from the floor to the wall to the ceiling to create a dramatic entrance. These bold splashes of colour are dotted throughout the apartment, from the study doors, to the bathroom tiles, and the cabinetry in the bathroom, creating a sense of life and individuality about the apartment. These works have transformed the apartment from a dark outdated place to a modern, clean, vibrant home.
