Located on the northern fringe of West Perth adjacent Thomas Road, this office development reinvented the previously underutilised site. The development’s design ethos pays homage to the heritage buildings adjacent the site at Perth Modern School, as well as the creation of a built form that moves and changes as vehicles drive past along Thomas Road. The design enhances the connection with the external space from the internal environment, creating a visual connection to all three street frontages at every level.
The building has taken cues from its neighbours through the sleek, modernist appearance of the white wrapping form, playing off against the use of heritage style red brick to the entry, carpark and concealed eastern and southern facades. This gives the building a feeling of connection to the streetscape, whilst allowing it to stand apart and provides a feeling of prominence against its bulkier neighbours. An additional feature that benefits the tenants is the lush roof garden. The rooftop amenity takes in the sweeping views to the north over Totterdell Park, and acts as an additional thermal insulator for the building.
