The Kids’ Bridge Opens to the Public
The Kids’ Bridge, also called the Koolangka Bridge, (meaning ‘children’ in Noongar) has officially opened to the public! After many years since we won the initial tender for the concept design it is fantastic to see the bridge bringing joy to the children who visit the Perth Children’s Hospital. Complete with nature sounds and bright lights at night, the bridge connects the hospital to Kings Park via a snaking, colourful path. It provides an amenity that will encourage and enable children to spend more time outdoors and in nature, not only improving their physical health but giving them a distraction from the hospital environment and something more to smile about. We encourage everyone to go and visit the bridge to experience first hand this little slice of joy!
